JAKARTA – Vice Chairman of Commission XI, Achmad Hafisz Tohir, supporting the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to investigate allegations of fraud, manipulation and data disclosure by the Board of Directors of PT Cakra Mineral (CKRA) Tbk, which has been detrimental to the investors of companies engaged in the mining sectors.
According Hafisz, OJK (FSA) should be able to open clearly related to this issue so that the world of business and investment in Indonesia could be re-excited.
“Should be straightened. Should not disadvantage the consumers,” he said in Jakarta on Tuesday (20/12/16).
DPP Chairman of Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) Division of Economic and Infrastructure explained, any goverment policies, particulary in financial sector, must be able to accomodate the consumer’s needs.
“Because, public financial policies should not disadvantage the consumer,” said Hafisz.
Therefore, Hafisz asserted, he strongly support OJK (FSA) to investigate the case completely for the sake of smoothness of business sector in Indonesia. “It must be investigated thoroughly,” he said.
Hafisz added, if it is later proved there was criminal fraud committed by the Board of Directors of PT Cakra Mineral, then the investors has the right to report it to the authorities.
“Of course, because it is a fraud,” he said.
For the information, the Board of Directors of PT Cakra Mineral (CKRA) Tbk has been reported to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for cases of embezzlement, manipulation of accounting as well as issues related to the disclosure of false data which is directed by Boelio Muliadi, President of the Company.
